“As RD/EBE (E/E Systems & Hardware), we deliver technologically leading EE systems with premium series quality to Mercedes-Benz vehicles on time.”

Our RD/EBE department is responsible for the development of the electrical/electronic systems and the system design of the Mercedes Benz HV batteries.

The Tasks you will face:

  • Literature review of current state-of-the-art related to the topic
  • Meticulous and engineering analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of current state-of-the-art technology
  • Development of a unique communication concept through electromagnetic analysis, modeling, and realization of an RF communication concept with an appropriate antenna design (possibly including simulations)
  • Design, construction, and implementation of concept prototypes
  • Definition of tests and final validation through measurements of the designed concept

The final topic is determined in consultation with the university, you and us.

These qualifications contribute to the successful implementation of your task:

  • Required field of study: Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Signal Processing, or a comparable discipline
  • Proven knowledge of radio frequency, transmission lines and antenna theory. Knowledge on communication protocols is advantageous.
  • Strong academic record, with a constant curiosity for various aspects of science. Must be an independent thinker and a team player.
  • Self-managed and proactive working style required.
  • Ability to guide the given project through the entire master’s thesis writing process.
  • Working-level proficiency in written and spoken English (German is advantageous).
  • Experience in Programming is advantageous
